Religious Education

Our religion program offers classes K-7th. Our confirmation program is taught by our director of religious education, Peggy Tauzin. We also offer programs for adults who may need to receive sacraments, wish to extend their education, or have chosen to join us in faith.

K-8 sign up can be completed online, or in person at the parish life center at the time of registration. You may pick up the class calendar at the life center at that time as well.

Each year the Diocese of Lafayette requires that we present a safe environment lesson for all our religious education students. This is NOT a sex education program. Instead, we present a program that provides children with a sound understanding of their own value and of God's care and presence in their lives. It will help them to notice the signals that tell them when they do not feel safe and how to talk to a trusted adult. If you do not want your child to participate in this program, please SUBMIT IN WRITING a letter opting out of the to the coordinator of your child's grade level. (Leave this section blank)

Ignite Youth Group

OLPH has created a group for youth to meet and celebrate their faith. With the change in Confirmation age, the need for continuation of religious studies has grown now more than ever. Meetings for this youth group will be posted on the calendar along with a GroupMe for the teens. Registration is on the Ignite page under the "Programs" tab.
